"Once upon a time on Rookgaard, there was a little girl. Nobody knows where she came from or what her goals were. The first thing she saw, was big evul Cipfried, whom she disliked from the first moment she laid eyes on him. Although Cipfried was nice to her, she raged upon him and scratched his face as badly as she could, before a few townsfolk came to help Cipfried. Quick to heal his own wounds, Cipfried called this girl "Kylindra Ennorath". Kylindra, being a little elven girl was very eager to learn the arts of combat. Usually found with a little bow to shoot the smallest of creatures, but usually with only her nails or a sword.
The longer she remained on Rookgaard, the more violent she became until some day, she started attacking the people she once lived with in the same town. King Tibianus was angry to hear that a mere elven girl was bringing fear upon the town that was made to harbor peace and learning and sent a few of his finest men to drive her out of the town. However, from those men, nobody has ever heard again. Some say they were so scared of Kylindra that they seeked refuge in Carlin. Others say that they all drowned. Some even say Kylindra had to do something with it. Whatever happened, after a year of living in terror, the townsfolk drove Kylindra in the furthest place they could find on the island to live among the orcs.
Everyone thought that the town was safe by that, but they were sorely mistaken. As you well know, the minotaurs came to Rookgaard through a second portal, although unstable. They overthrew the common orcs with just a few tricks of fire and energy. But Kylindra, she was just the least impressed by those odd looking cows on two legs. With her bow, sword and poisoned arrows, she barged straight through the lines of the minotaurs and stood face to face with the feared minotaur mage. Kylindra knew that she wouldn't last too long against the minotaur mage and ran towards the portal. However, before she could jump in to the unstable portal, and most likely her certain death, she saw a bright light.
The minotaur mage stopped running after little Kylindra and closed the door, sealing it with his black magic. Kylindra, as evil as she was, shot a few arrows towards the light. However, the arrows fell but a mere 2 feet away from her, never to hit anything other than the ground. She then grabbed her sword and ran towards the light, which didn't seem to come any closer with any step she took. She had ran for hours, maybe even days. When she finally dropped to the ground, exhausted from trying to attack that which she couldn't see, she yelled at it. "WHAT KIND OF DEMON'S WORK ARE YOU?", she yelled, without recieving an answer.
After she had passed out from exhaustion and crying, the bright light dimmed and from the light a person, not man nor woman walked towards her. The person looked at her, took her sword and spoke: "Little girl. You can run as fast as the fastest horse in the kingdom, be as strong as the demons, but you lack the humbleness to understand what happens around you. Your sword, drenched in blood of men, women, children, trolls, orcs and many other creatures whose lives you took without reason, shall remain on an island to remind everyone of the evils you have done. Your sword shall be known only as the Sword of Fury and will burn on the rocks, only to be touched by the humble.". As from that day on, her sword has been seen many times on a rock, in midst of fire to merely wait for the one humble enough to touch the sword that was more cursed than blessed."
