In my opinion Sol Campbell's second-half back-pass to Lukasz Fabianski was deliberate, he did try to nudge it to the goalkeeper - I don't think there's any doubt about that.

Referee Martin Hansson got that decision right but from that point on the man in charge, who is responsible for overseeing fair play, lost it.

There are no ifs, buts or maybes. When a referee has the ball and a goalkeeper has turned his back on him, he cannot give the ball to the opposition and let them take a quick free-kick that results in a goal.
