When are characters automatically deleted?

Characters are deleted automatically if they are not logged into the game within a period of n months where n is equal to their level. Please note that this rule applies to characters on all free accounts, this includes also accounts that have been premium recently. E.g. if you have not logged on your level 10 character for 12 months and then your premium time runs out, this character will be deleted after a few days. Only as long as your account has premium status, no character will be deleted from it.
When a character has been deleted, the name will still be blocked for some time in order to make sure newly created characters are not mistaken for the deleted character.

Please note: If a character on an account with free status has not been used for 2 years (720 days), it is going to be deleted regardless of the level.
