When can I leave Rookgaard and can I return there once I have entered the main continent?
You may leave Rookgaard as soon as you have reached level 8. To do so go to the oracle in the village. Please note that you are expected to leave Rookgaard once you have reached the necessary level. If you continue levelling up your character on Rookgaard you will find that you will gain fewer hit points, mana, skills etc. than you would have received if you had left Rookgaard. These reduced values will not be readjusted if you choose a vocation and leave Rookgaard later on!
Also, please note that it is impossible to return to Rookgaard unless a character dies often enough so that the level is reduced to 5. If this happens, characters are completely reset. This means they will reappear in the temple of Rookgaard with level 1, carrying nothing but the standard beginner's equipment. Any levels, skills, spells and carried items they had before will be gone. The only exception are items stored in depots which will not be deleted. Characters can get them once they have left Rookgaard.
