Amazons are a tribe of woman warriors, who have mastered weapons. They usually stay at a distance from their opponents, throwing knifes at them, and they will flee when heavily wounded. There is a very popular encampment of them north of Venore. Sometimes, you can meet valkyries or witches nearby.

Valkyries are often hunted by players, mainly because they are not very strong, and sometimes, they can drop valuable items - even the Plate Armor!
