What is CIP cooking for the next update?

For several months now, the Game Content Director Stephan Vogler (Steve), together with CipSoft's official mapper, GM Knightmare, and a selected group of graphic artists and game content advisors, has been designing and preparing the next Tibia update. 7.27? 7.30? We have no clue, but we know something: it looks good, very good!
It is no secret that CipSoft is very, and we mean Very secretive about updates. Their main point is that they do not want to spoil surprises, or promise things that will be impossible to implement in the game later for technical or game-balance problems. For this reason we have not been authoriced to reveal much about the update but at least we could grab some screenshots from their desktop before running away
One of the "guaranteed to happen" things that we can talk about, is that the next update will include, once again, a revision of the graphics. This time several important scenery objects and common walls will be replaced, like the ones in the screenshot:
The update will benefit of the artwork of several different graphic artists, given the tremendous success of the previous experience where Mantus and Lord Ariakas revamped all the creatures, making them animated. Lord Ariakas is known to be participating in the update works with more of his stunning work, designing a new array of different creatures for the update like this small scarab.
New floors, walls, items... are being drafted, polished and presented on a daily basis for CipSoft to approve or comment, working towards an update that will not deceive anyone. Most of them will be used in the new city that Knightmare is working on, complete with hazardous dungeons and new areas to explore.
New beasties, an improved polished look, a completely new city together with hunting areas and new items and treasures to show in your house sounds like quite a decent deal for a long-awaited update
When? Early Summer 2004 could perfectly be the Release date. We will keep you posted
