Red Skulls Characters that kill several unmarked characters within some periods of time will be marked by a red skull and have to face serious sanctions for their player killing. This happens when a character kills three or more unmarked characters in one day (24 hours), five or more unmarked characters in one week (7 days) or ten or more unmarked characters in one month (30 days). As soon as a character reaches one of these three limits the character will be marked with a red skull for 30 days. Note that every time one of these limits is reached again the red skull mark is reset to 30 days. Also, as an additional sanction a character marked with a red skull will drop all items in case of death, no matter if an "Amulet of Loss" is worn or not! This will encourage players to hunt and to punish the player killer. Excessive killing of characters that are not marked with a skull is a violation of the Tibia Rules. Therefore players who reach twice the number of unjustified kills that are needed to get a red skull will be banished automatically. Remember that too many banishments will result in the deletion of an account. Kod:
Rule 5a Excessive killing of characters who are not marked with a "skull" on worlds which are not PvP-enforced. Please note that killing marked characters is not a reason for a banishment. Comment: This rule only applies to game worlds with regular PvP combat, since killing other characters is generally allowed on PvP-enforced game worlds. On game worlds with regular PvP combat, it is not always the wisest decision to immediately kill a character you are having trouble with. Many problems can be solved by talking and negotiating. For example, there is absolutely no need to threaten a player with death who you feel is invading the place you are currently hunting in. Instead, try talking to him and compromise with him to, e.g. find an agreement about who may hunt first or how you can share the monsters. Of course, if you feel there is a good reason to kill a character, for example because he stole from you or seriously insulted you, you can take revenge by killing him. Please note though that if he is not marked by a skull, you are considered the aggressor of this fight and the kill will appear as unjustified in your kill log. Whether you had a good personal reason does not matter in this case. Try not to cumulate too many unjustified kills, because your account will be automatically banished by the system if you kill other characters excessively. Receiving a red skull as a punishment for your previous kills is a clear warning that you should stop now or face the consequences. Since the banishment for excessive player killing is performed automatically and based on concrete facts, you cannot complain to it. |
